INFORM: Community Support

Consider helping a CBA family.

The Chaska Community is a close-knit community when it comes to playing ball, both baseball and softball. Recently, Chaska Baseball Association as well as the Chaska Youth Softball Association have a member of each association where a family is facing a difficult road ahead due to receiving some devastating news. The Astry Family, who have 3 kids, one who plays with our 7 & 8 yr old Rookies program and their oldest playing softball, received news that their youngest 4-year old daughter Madelyn, was diagnosed with leukemia. Brian Astry has helped coach both baseball and softball teams for both associations and is also a Chaska Firefighter helping to protect our community. 

The Astry family have a challenging and long road ahead with care and treatment for Madelyn. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Astry family. Chaska Baseball Members can also show their support to the Astry Family through many services set-up to benefit and support the family:

INFORM: New DIBs Available

Each family is required to complete 2 Volunteer/Dib shifts per player. We have capped this at 5 shifts per family with multiple players. Sign-up for DIBs TODAY:

  • Chaska Cubs Games (details below)

We are opening it up to our baseball families who will get a DIBs credit for each concession shift they complete.  It's a guaranteed great time at the ball field in the summer.  Check out the sign-up genius HERE and mark your calendars. When you show up for your shift please scan the QR code on the Chaska Baseball Association flyer and fill out the form so we know you fulfilled your shift. This is how you will receive your dibs credit.

INFORM: The Shed Youth Summer Training

The Shed Youth Summer Training is ideal for 9U - 14U players. Sessions are 90 minutes in length, with focus on hitting and pitching every session. This includes working on throwing and hitting mechanics, and live-at-bats against each other to best prepare athletes for a game-like environment. This is a 10 week program throughout the summer. INFORM: CBA Invests in Fields & Equipment in 2025

As we near the official kick-off to the season (hopefully) the week of April 14th, we are excited to share some improvements the CBA is funding:

  • New (2nd) pitching machine

  • Chaska Community field 4 is getting new field tarp weights

  • Carver Bluff field is getting new field equipment to accommodate older age groups playing at this field

  • Augusta field is getting a new attachment to paint foul lines
