INFORM: Travel Program Updates:

Travel and tournament team players (EXCLUDING 12A, 12AA-G, 12AA-P) will pick up uniforms on Thursday, April 11th from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Chaska Middle School East Commons (separate email went out yesterday). REMINDER: Players are responsible for proving their owns pants (white w/ back piping, black belt & socks).

Pictures for all travel teams are Friday, April 19th at Chaska Middle School West gyms. Players should be in full uniform (minus cleats). Coaches or managers should communicate jersey color to wear. Order forms available after photos are complete.

We will begin scheduling practices soon but are dependent on other programs (Youth & Community leagues) to finish their game scheduling first. Practice time will be managed through the board and slotted equally across teams in the remaining field time.

ACTION: DIBS Available for Chaska Classic May 10-12th:

On May 10-12th, CBA will host our annual travel baseball tournament at Lion’s, Community and Pioneer Fields. 60+ teams from 9-11u will participate, and our 12u players/parents run this event as part of their fundraising.

DIBS are available to support concessions and other activities at each site. Grab a shift or 2 before they’re claimed! We could really use your support to ensure the event runs smoothly for those making the trek to play in our community.

REGISTER: Starz Baseball Camp @ Community Park

Our friends at Starz Baseball Academy are hosting a 1-day camp at Community Park on Thursday, 6/13. This is run by the head coach of St. Cloud State’s baseball program, Pat Dolan, and his staff. Historically we’ve had high turnout from Chaska players and surrounding communities. Take advantage of this opportunity for extra player development!

REGISTER: Twins Baseball Clinic @ Athletic Park

Minnesota Twins MSHSBCA Clinic will take place at Athletic Park from 9:00-11:45am on Friday, June 21st. This is a free clinic offered to 6–12-year-old players looking for an extra player development opportunity. Registration required!

SAVE THE DATE: 6/21 League Outing with the Saints

The Saint Paul Saints will host Chaska Baseball for a League Outing on Friday, 6/21. All ages/programs welcomed. As part of this, players will have the opportunity to play catch on the field prior to the game starting! Ticket purchase is required for all attending. We will send further information in the May newsletter.

REGISTER: Opening Day 5k and Kids Run

Another great opportunity to support our 12U teams as they fundraise for their "away" tournaments this summer. Grab your friends and take part in this fun, new event.

The Opening Day 5k and Kids Run, put on by the 12AA Gold Chaska Hawks team, is less than a month away and they have offered up a discount code to save $10 off registration for any baseball friends and family members to use when signing up!

When: April 20th, kids run: 8:30am, 5k: 9am
Where: Pioneer Ride Middle School
How: Run, walk, or jog the beautiful trails of Chaska in and around Pioneer Ridge Middle school and the Chaska High School.

All runners will receive a coupon for a free domestic tap beer or a free ice cream sundae at Willy McCoy's, a free Hawks purple finisher shirt, and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping support a local Chaska baseball team.

INFORM: Fields Not Open Yet

We are all itching to get outside and practice on the fields, especially as the weather improves this week! A friendly reminder fields are NOT available for use until the city officially releases. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks. In the meantime, please stay off the fields. Coaches can schedule “parking lot” practices or find some green grass until we get the official “OK”.

JOIN US! Burger Night 4/17 @ Chaska VFW:

Need quick & easy dinner plans as you run between spring sports? CBA is continuing to partner with Chaska VFW to host Burger Night the 3rd Wednesday of each month. $4 will get you a delicious, made-to-order burger and chips. This is a great way to continue building our baseball community and raise funds to support our 12u travel teams as they fundraise for their “away” tournaments.

REMINDER: REGISTER FOR THE 2024 BASEBALL SEASON

2024 baseball registration is OPEN for the following programs! Registration fee increases after Friday, 3/1.

Youth League, 7-10 y/o's (closes 3/14)
SW Community League, 11-15 y/o's (closes 3/14)

The “Youth Expo” is Saturday, March 16th @ Chaska HS. This event includes player evaluations, uniform sizing, and collection of your volunteer deposit. DIBs shifts are still available to support this event. Grab one before they're gone!

Watch for separate communication the week prior with final details. Youth players are the backbone of our program. Tell your friends and help us build participation in 2024!
